Mountain Gap Middle School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our CyberPatriot teams in the recent Alabama Preliminary Round. One of our teams placed 1st in the entire state out of 33 teams, and the other team earned an impressive 8th place finish! Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have truly paid off.
This preliminary round will serve as the tie-breaker should teams be tied in the State Round on December 12th. Our students are already focused and preparing, aiming for a 1st and 2nd place sweep in the State Round. A top finish would earn them special recognition and a trophy during the April awards ceremony at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).
Depending on their performance in the upcoming State Round, both MGMS teams may advance to the Divisional Round, competing against teams from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee in January. Our students are highly motivated and working toward another 1st place victory.
