Our 8th grade science students recently explored Newton’s First Law of Motion through a hands-on activity using inertia towers. This activity helped students see firsthand how inertia keeps objects at rest unless an unbalanced force causes a change in motion. By experimenting, predicting outcomes, and discussing results, students deepened their understanding of motion while practicing teamwork and scientific thinking. Science is fun!
