Our 8th grade students recently brought science to life during an exciting hands-on lab all about electrical circuits. Students explored how electricity flows by building both series and parallel circuits, discovering how each setup affects brightness in a couple of light bulbs. Then, using snap-together circuit boards, they experimented with different components and configurations, and thought about the different energy transformations taking place. It was a powerful day of exploration, creativity, and critical thinking as students quite literally lit up the classroom!
