one student in a red shirt is jumping while three students stand around him to measure how far he jumps

Our 6th grade science students are exploring the exciting topics of gravity and our solar system in class this week. Today, students collected data by measuring how far they could jump here on Earth. Using that information, they will calculate how far they would be able to jump on each of the different planets based on each planet’s gravity. This hands-on lesson helps students see how gravity affects movement while making science fun and engaging.
