8th grade students sitting and listening in library as student presents book talk

Our eighth graders’ summer reading lists were officially booked! Over the break, each student dove into a novel of their choice to prepare for their first major ELA project of the year. Upon returning to school, the Mountain Gap Middle School library hosted the students as they took the floor to present their book talks. Eighth graders enthusiastically spilled the tea on all the highs and lows of their stories. The book talks covered every genre from gripping mysteries to epic fantasies. Even librarian Mrs. Pavlak and ELA teacher Mrs. Fuemmeler walked away with plenty of exciting new titles to add to their own reading lists!
