Sixth grade students have been digging deeper into Earth's systems. Recently, they learned about Earth's layers! The students participated in stations set up in their science lab. The stations allowed the students to study the makeup of Earth, the different types of rocks produced at the crust, as well as the Earth's internal temperature and its relationship to depth.
It's no surprise, though, the the students' favorite station was the oobleck station! The white goop is known for its ability to act as a liquid while its being poured, but behaves as a solid when another force acts upon it. Students used the oobleck to learn about pressure and the liquids that make up the inside of Earth.
