Some students in Mrs. Neighbors sitting at table with pumpkin manipulatives, crayon boxes, and 10 paper place.

Mrs. Neighbor's kindergarten students had a fun and hands-on math experience during their counting collection activity today! Using small pumpkins, students practiced their counting skills while exploring numbers in a concrete and engaging way. Working in pairs, students carefully counted their pumpkins one by one, using strategies like touching and moving each pumpkin as they counted aloud. Their goal was to count up to 10, and they did an amazing job demonstrating focus and teamwork! This hands-on learning activity helped students build number sense, practice one-to-one correspondence, and strengthen early math vocabulary. Plus, it brought a little fall fun into the classroom!
