Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School is excited to announce the launch of our Big Brother & Big Sister Program, a new mentorship initiative designed to connect our scholars with positive role models from Lee High School. Beginning this school year, Lee High School students will visit Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary every Friday to spend time with our scholars, build meaningful relationships, and serve as mentors and role models. Through this partnership, our younger scholars will have the opportunity to learn from high school students who can encourage them academically, socially, and personally. The Big Brother & Big Sister Program is more than a mentorship opportunity. It is about building connections, developing leadership, and creating a sense of belonging. Our Lee High School mentors will encourage scholars to set goals, make positive choices, demonstrate responsibility, and believe in their ability to succeed.
