On Thursday, January 15th the Morris Eagles and Williams Hawks basketball teams battled it out for bragging rights in the first ever "Bird Bowl". The games started at 1:00 PM instead of later in the afternoon so that more Morris students could attend. Parents and students from both schools attended, as well. The 7th Grade Boys and the 7th/8th Grade Girls fought hard, but it was the 8th Grade Boys who brought home the W ending the last game of the day with a score of 35 to 28. During half-time for 8th Grade Boys game MMS honored our 8th Grade athletes with a ceremony, These students also received certificates and balloons.
