On October 24, 2025 New Century Technology High School went pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month! The faculty participated by all wearing matching pink New Century shirts and students were all encouraged to wear something pink. Our very own HOSA club also crafted pink ribbons for students to pin to their shirts to support.
According to BreastCancer.org breast cancer awareness month is an international health campaign that takes place every October to promote the awareness of breast cancer. It aims to promote women to take time and get a breast screening and stay aware of possible warning signs.
The World Health Organization states that in 2022, approximately 2.3 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer and 670,000 died from the disease. It is important for our school to continue participating in these awareness events to ensure people are staying supportive and aware. New Century encourages students and faculty to continue learning about breast cancer prevention and to support those affected all year round.
