Fourth grade students in the ibrary during research

Prior to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, fourth grade students completed an interdisciplinary project on Influential Americans. The project combined reading skills, historical knowledge, mathematical skills, and coding skills. Students used context clues to determine influential Americans' identities. Students identified Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, Ruby Bridges, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and President Barack Obama by using context clues used in descriptive writing. Then students used those clues to place these Americans in timeline order. After creating their timeline, students used color coding to code an Ozobot to move through the timeline. Kudos to our students for their hard work!
