Ridgecrest was chosen as the recipient of a grant given by the Huntsville Pacesetters Lions Club in partnership with Paperpie Books and Melissa's Book Basket. On September 19, every student in our school was able to choose THREE books for free!! Melissa Slowik with Paperpie Books set up tables and tables of books for our students to choose from and then we had an army of volunteers to help students with their selections.
We had volunteers from the Huntsville Pacesetters Lions Club, Redstone Federal Credit Union, and Tripe JOY for Youth. We had an amazing turnout with volunteers and they truly enjoyed interacting with our students!
All 443 Ridgecrest Rockets received three books to take home! It was such a blessing for our students!
