On Friday August 28th, students dressed up for a Fancy Friday themed PBIS Kickoff celebration!! PBIS is a program used by Huntsville City Schools to promote positive behavior in our schools and classrooms. This year we partnered with Columbia High School to put togehter a massive kickoff assembly and school stroll!
At Ridgecrest, SOAR is our slogan for PBIS. S is for Staying Safe, O is for On Task, A is for Accountability, and R is for Respectful and Responsible. Our students learn every year how to SOAR at Ridgecrest in and around our school.
Columbia High's band, cheerleaders, dance team and footbally players came to celebrate with our students and get them excited for PBIS this school year!
Mrs. Barksdale's class was awarded the Spirit Stick for the most DOJO points so far this school year. It was very exciting!
After the assembly, our students strolled through the school to songs like We Are Family.
