Last year our teacher Ms. Durr applied for a grant from the Unbanned Books Network, a part of We Need Diverse Books and was chosen to receive furniture for her classroom, 100 books for her classroom, a virtual visit from an author or illustrator, and copies of the author/illustrator’s book!! Her class received individual copies of the book “Grace For President” yesterday and today they had a virtual visit with LeUyan Pham, the illustrator. What a phenomenal experience for our first graders! We also received extra hardcover books of "Grace for President" to gift our school library!
