Rolling Hills Elementary was thrilled to welcome Grace Anello, Meteorologist from WAAY 31 News, to speak with our 5th-grade students about severe weather and the science behind tracking storms.
During her visit, Ms. Anello gave an exciting and informative presentation on how meteorologists predict and track dangerous weather conditions like tornadoes, thunderstorms, and hurricanes. Students learned about the importance of weather safety, the tools used by meteorologists, and how storms are monitored in real time.
One of the highlights of the visit was her "Storm Chaser" vehicle, which she brought to campus! Ms. Anello answered lots of great student questions and even shared what it’s like to be on live television during major storms. The visit sparked curiosity and excitement among our future scientists and storm trackers!
A huge thank you to Grace Anello and WAAY 31 for taking the time to inspire our students and share the wonders of weather science!
