A young girl stands in front of a classroom showing a colorful poster with images representing Hispanic culture, including food, people, and celebrations. Several classmates sit on a rug, attentively watching her presentation. The classroom walls are decorated with learning charts, a whiteboard, and bright educational materials.

Rolling Hills Elementary celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in a big and colorful way! Students had the opportunity to learn traditional dances such as salsa, merengue, and tango while exploring the rich cultures of many Spanish-speaking countries.

Our 2nd and 3rd grade art students, led by Ms. McClintock, showcased their creativity in a special art show, presenting unique forms of Mexican-inspired art for their peers to admire.

The celebration concluded with a festive Día del Niño (Day of the Child) event! Students enjoyed delicious Mexican ices from Pinguinos Hermanos food truck, showed off their newly learned dance moves during a lively dance party, and played fun games like soccer, hopscotch, and musical chairs.

It was a joyful and educational celebration, highlighting the richness of Hispanic culture and bringing our Rolling Hills family together in a spirit of learning and fun. 🌟
