Rolling Hills Elementary was proud to welcome Anthony “A.J.” Buckner, Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Huntsville City Schools, as our Read Across America District Reader on March 3rd. Mr. Buckner spent time reading to our 4th grade students, encouraging them to continue growing as strong readers and learners.
With a strong focus on Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. Buckner brings a wealth of experience to Huntsville City Schools. He previously served at the Alabama State Department of Education as a State Coordinator for School Improvement and was also a principal in the Jackson County School System. His dedication to academic excellence and student achievement is evident in his leadership.
We are grateful for Mr. Buckner’s visit and for his commitment to supporting high-quality instruction across our district. Thank you for inspiring our 4th graders and celebrating the power of reading at RHES!
