On October 13, 2026, Rolling Hills Elementary School (RHES) proudly wore red in recognition of Dyslexia Awareness Month, showing our support for students with dyslexia and helping promote understanding, awareness, and acceptance throughout our school community.
Our faculty, staff, and students joined together to wear red as a visible reminder that every learner is unique and deserves the opportunity to succeed. Dyslexia is a learning difference that primarily affects reading, spelling, and written language. With the right instruction, encouragement, and support, students with dyslexia can thrive academically and reach their full potential.
At Rolling Hills Elementary, we believe that learning differences do not define a student's ability, intelligence, or future success. Every child has individual strengths, talents, and gifts, and it is our responsibility as educators to create an environment where all students feel supported, valued, and empowered to learn. By participating in Dyslexia Awareness Month, RHES continues to emphasize the importance of early identification, evidence-based reading instruction, and a school culture that celebrates differences rather than allowing them to become barriers. Our goal is to ensure that every student has access to the tools, resources, and encouragement needed to grow as a confident learner.
As a school committed to “Blasting into Excellence,” we recognize that excellence looks different for every student. Together, we can build awareness, break down misconceptions, and champion the success of all learners.
We wear red to raise awareness. We stand together to show support. We celebrate every learner because every child deserves the opportunity to shine!
