Rolling Hills Elementary School (RHES) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Huntsville Hospital Health System for its continued support and partnership in providing meaningful learning experiences for our students. Through this valued partnership, our fourth- and fifth-grade students had the exciting opportunity to participate in a Medical Career Health Fair for the second consecutive year, opening doors to explore careers in healthcare, learn about wellness, and discover the many ways medical professionals serve our community.

A special thank-you goes to Mr. Tracy Doughty for organizing this outstanding event and continuing to invest in the future of our students. His dedication to creating opportunities for young learners to connect with healthcare professionals helps bring classroom learning to life and encourages students to dream big about their futures.

We are also incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other medical professionals who generously shared their time, knowledge, and experiences with our students. Their willingness to engage with our young learners provided valuable insight into the many career pathways available in the medical field.

Throughout the health fair, students rotated through interactive sessions designed to expand their knowledge, encourage personal growth, and introduce them to the world of healthcare. Sessions included Coping and Stress Management, The Life of an MD, and A Day in the Life of an MD, giving students a glimpse into the responsibilities, challenges, and rewards of working in medicine.

Students also had the opportunity to visit the medical mobile unit and learn how this valuable resource supports the health and well-being of our community. Additional sessions focused on Professionalism as a Student, The Human Body, and General Hospital Roles and Career Opportunities. These experiences helped students understand the importance of healthy habits, professional behavior, teamwork, and the many individuals who work together to provide quality patient care.

The Medical Career Health Fair was more than an educational event—it was an opportunity for students to envision themselves in future careers, ask questions, build confidence, and connect their academic learning to real-world possibilities. Experiences like these remind our students that there are countless pathways to success and that their dreams can become reality with dedication, education, and support.

As a Title I school committed to providing enriching opportunities for every learner, Rolling Hills Elementary recognizes how important community partnerships are in helping us prepare students for success both inside and outside the classroom. Huntsville Hospital Health System’s continued involvement demonstrates the powerful impact that happens when schools and community organizations work together to invest in the next generation.

Thank you, Huntsville Hospital Health System, Mr. Tracy Doughty, and all the participating medical professionals for helping us make this experience possible for the second year in a row! Your time, expertise, and commitment to our students make a lasting difference.

At Rolling Hills Elementary, we are “Blasting into Excellence,” and with dedicated partners like Huntsville Hospital Health System, we are helping our students explore new horizons, discover their potential, and build brighter futures.
