Sonnie Hereford Elementary proudly hosted our second Wildcats Showcase, welcoming students, staff, and families together to celebrate academic success during the second nine weeks. This special event honored students who demonstrated consistency, growth, and excellence in the classroom.
During the showcase, students were recognized across multiple achievement categories, highlighting the many ways our Wildcats continue to rise:
A Honor Roll – Celebrating students who achieved excellence by earning all A’s
A & B Honor Roll – Recognizing students who maintained strong academic performance across all subjects
DIBELS Proficiency – Honoring students who met or exceeded benchmark expectations in reading through DIBELS assessments
i-Ready Proficiency – Recognizing students who demonstrated proficiency and growth in reading and/or mathematics based on i-Ready diagnostic data
Perfect Attendance – Celebrating students whose commitment to being present every day reflects responsibility and dedication
The Wildcats Showcase is more than an awards ceremony; it is a moment to pause, reflect, and reinforce the importance of effort, perseverance, and accountability. Each recognition represents hours of hard work by our students, intentional instruction by our teachers, and unwavering support from families.
As students were called forward, the pride in the room was undeniable. Cheers, applause, and smiles filled the space as Wildcats were celebrated not only for their results, but for the habits that lead to long-term success.
At Sonnie Hereford Elementary School, we believe every child deserves to be seen, celebrated, and encouraged. The Wildcats Showcase continues to be a powerful reminder that when we set high expectations and support our students, they rise to the occasion.
