Today was a special day at Sonnie Hereford Elementary as we celebrated our students who achieved perfect attendance during the month of September with Lunch on the Lawn with the Principal!
The air was filled with love, laughter, and a little smoke from the grill as Assistant Principal McGuire fired up hamburgers and hot dogs for our deserving students and staff. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize students who made being present and ready to learn a priority every single day.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to our community partners who came out to help serve and support our Wildcats. A special thank you goes to MDA and the Huntsville Housing Authority for providing tents that helped make today's celebration possible.
Most importantly, we thank our parents and families for making daily attendance a priority and ensuring that their children are at school, on time, and ready to learn. Your commitment makes a tremendous difference.
September is Attendance Awareness Month, and today's celebration was a reminder that attendance matters! Every day in school is another opportunity for our students to learn, grow, build relationships, and move closer to reaching their full potential.
Congratulations to all of our September Perfect Attendance Wildcats!
