Whitesburg Parents and Guardians,

We had a great week of teaching and learning.

Important Update: New Morning Check-in Procedures

We hope everyone has a restful and rejuvenating Spring Break! We are writing to share a small adjustment to our morning arrival process that will begin on Monday, March 23.

To ensure the highest level of safety for every child, we require all students to pass through our safety detection system before entering the building.

What You Need to Know:

If your student arrives after the 8:00 AM bell and the elementary arrival doors have closed, please note the following:

  • Arrival Location: Students arriving late must enter through the front office doors.

  • Set-up Time: Our team moves the safety detector from the morning arrival doorway to the front office immediately after the bell. This transition takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes.

  • Brief Wait Period: Students will be asked to wait outside the front office doors while the equipment is being moved and calibrated.

  • Entry: The office staff will begin "buzzing in" students as soon as the system is fully operational.

We understand that those few minutes outside can feel like a long time when you're in a hurry, but this brief pause allows us to guarantee that every student is screened and the building remains secure.

Thank you for your patience and for partnering with us to keep Whitesburg a safe place to learn!

Shine Bright Whitesburg!

Thanks,

Mrs. Jones
