We had a great week of teaching and learning.
Thank you so much for all of the kind words, cards, and gifts for Principal Appreciation Day. Also, thank you so much for making our teachers feel loved and appreciated for Teacher Appreciation Week. Thanks to the Burg PTA, Whitesburg Baptist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Kristen Davis Realty, Redstone Federal Credit Union, StrataG Solutions, Mozza Pizza, Rocket City Sips, Pam Nicastro with Nicastro Group Realty, Bisquit Belly, Kendra Scott, and Shoe Fly for providing meals, treats, and gifts for our teachers throughout the week. We are truly blessed with the best stakeholders at the Burg. (Big kudos to Jackie Kusiak, our Parent Coordinator, for working so hard and making this week a success!)
We have had 133 students complete their registration for next year. I know that you are tired of getting daily calls asking you to register! It is so important and helpful to us to make sure that your child is in the correct class next year. We cannot do this until you register your child. Waiting until the last minute will only cause confusion and waste your time. Please, please get that completed. Let us know if you need help. (There are directions below.)
Library books have been turned in for the year, and the library is being inventoried. If your child has lost a library book, they will receive an invoice for it. This must be paid before the student can get the end-of-the-year report card, and they will not be able to check out books the following year (no matter where they are in HCS) until the invoice is paid.
I can't wait to see you all at Awards Day!
