The HEAL Headquarters was filled with energy and enthusiasm on September 9th as we hosted our New Teacher Training. We welcomed 32 passionate teachers from across the state of Alabama, along with 5 eager college students preparing to enter the field, and multiple experienced trainers who brought their best tips, tools, and encouragement.
The day was packed with engaging sessions, hands-on activities, and meaningful conversations—all focused on equipping educators to bring wellness to life in their schools and communities. From nutrition games to energizers and classroom integration strategies, the commitment to student health was clear in every interaction. We’re so proud of this next wave of HEAL champions who are ready to lead with heart, purpose, and a whole lot of energy. The 2025–2026 school year is underway, with over 200 schools and more than 45,000 students actively implementing the HEAL United curriculum. All instructional materials, including heart rate technology, student handouts, lesson visuals, and family engagement tools, were successfully delivered to participating schools.
This ensures that educators have the necessary resources to consistently incorporate wellness education into their classrooms, supporting students in developing healthy habits throughout the academic year. We’re excited for another impactful year of promoting healthy habits and supporting student wellness in schools across the state.
