Weatherly Heights Elementary has a new math milestone to celebrate, and it belongs to Mrs. Wilson’s third graders.

In January, Mrs. Wilson’s class earned a school trophy for solving the most math problems on First In Math, the online program students use to build fluency, accuracy, and confidence through daily practice. At the time of the award, the class had already powered through more than 33,000 math problems, placing them as the top-performing class at Weatherly Heights.

And they did not stop there.

Today, Mrs. Wilson’s class has surged to over 67,000 math problems solved, still holding the school record and continuing to raise the bar for what focused practice can accomplish.

While a number like 67,000 is impressive on its own, it represents something even bigger: consistent effort. Each problem solved reflects a student showing up, trying again, learning from mistakes, and building skills one question at a time. Over weeks and months, those small moments added up to a schoolwide achievement.

Mrs. Wilson’s class is being recognized not just for a record-breaking total, but for the learning habits behind it: perseverance, teamwork, and a willingness to practice even when the math gets tricky. Their success highlights how daily engagement, encouragement, and positive momentum can turn math practice into something students feel proud of.

Congratulations, Mrs. Wilson’s Class!
