We are proud to announce that eight Huntsville City Schools have been selected to receive TVA BVI STEM Awards, totaling $37,500, to expand and strengthen STEM instruction across our district. Of the 67 schools selected statewide, Huntsville City Schools secured more than one-eighth of all Alabama awards, reflecting the strength and innovation of our instructional programs.

Awarded Schools:

  • Challenger Elementary

  • Challenger Middle

  • Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary

  • Hampton Cove Elementary

  • Lee High

  • Morris Elementary

  • Rolling Hills Elementary

  • Williams Middle

These grants will support hands-on, student-centered projects across all grade levels, including outdoor classrooms, robotics, data-driven research, coding, and electric vehicle design. Students will have meaningful opportunities to apply STEM concepts in real-world contexts, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and explore potential STEM careers.

We extend our sincere appreciation to TVA, BFI, and Huntsville Utilities for their continued partnership and investment in STEM education. Their support is instrumental in expanding access to high-quality learning experiences and empowering Huntsville City Schools students to innovate, explore, and succeed.
