The Bits & Futures project, recognized by TVA, will allow students to connect classroom learning to real-world STEM careers. Students will choose a STEM career, research the responsibilities and skills required, and then design a micro: bit program that models a simple task or concept from that career. In class, students will move through the process of research, coding, and reflection. This enables students to develop technical skills, communication skills, and confidence, while fostering their identity as future innovators. New equipment will support this effort. Winning this grant will allow students to succeed in this project.
