Students in grades K-6 showed how they say "no to drugs" during the school's first ever Red Ribbon Week.
The school planned a dress-up day along with a living drug-free phrase to remind students to live drug free. Students were asked to wear green on Monday to represent a jungle because living drug free is something to roar about. On Tuesday students dressed tropical to live a drug-free "fin-tastic" life. Animal print was the pattern of the day on Wednesday so students could stand-tall like a giraffe when it comes to living drug-free.
"We finished the week with 'boo away drugs.' We asked the students to wear their Halloween costumes," counselor Erin Coggins said. "The students and parents made my day sending in their photos. In the virtual format, sometimes it is difficult to make things like Red Ribbon Week viable, but our students did an amazing job with it this week."
