On Feb. 4, four members of the Artemis science club visited the Cook's Museum in Decatur to increase their scientific literacy in an effective, fun and engaging way.

Students experienced diverse and interactive exhibits enabling them to learn more about earth and space, physical science, life science, engineering and technology. These exhibits included live animals, geography and weather, aquatic habitats, plants and insects.

"From the start to the finish, students were interested and engaged," science teacher Annette Perkins said. "These opportunities are very important is so many ways. It provides opportunities to connect and build relationships.
