The first elementary robotics team in Artemis history held its first meeting on Thursday, Oct. 16.
Sponsor Sabrina Priest presented a lesson on robotics, followed by going over instructions for the build activity.
"The students had fun and were so excited as they worked together on their building project," Priest said. "We are all looking forward to the next meeting and what we can accomplish this year."
Student voices resonated from the meeting room as students worked together in pairs putting together their small robot.
"I've put things like this together before, but it was fun doing it with someone else," fifth grader Zoe Petropoulos said. "We did not want to leave when our time was up."
