Teacher Sabrina Priest and media specialist Stephanie Clemons have written and secured three grants to propel the arts and robotics programs at Artemis.
Clemons won the Middle School Computer Programming worth $25,000. These funds will purchase three desktop computers, five laptops, two i-Pads and two robotic kits.
"These funds will be used to purchase much-needed technology for our students to excel in extracurricular programs," Clemons said.
Artemis is also a recipient of the AMSTI Stem grant which will provide funds for the elementary robotics program.
Priest secured the Arts in Alabama grant. The $1900 grant comes from the Arts in Alabama car tag committee. Priest says she will use the funds to purchase art supplies for her monthly art lessons.
"With these funds, I can now purchase a variety of paint and other supplies to create what I am calling the Doodle Lab," Priest said.
