It was all about rockets on Friday, March 6 as students in grades K-12 participated in the school's first Rocket Launch event.
Coordinated by science teacher, Annette Perkins, the event allowed students the opportunity to learn about all things rocketry--including building rockets of all kinds, conducting experiments to simulate combustible materials and watching rocket launches.
Representatives from NASA and the Huntsville Area Rocketry Association were on hand to help with various tasks and to teach students about rocket science.
"My favorite was when we had the explosion using baking soda," third grader Emerald Hammonds said.
