Students gathered in the Space Station Media Center on Friday, April 17 to participate in the Care to Share Cultural Enrichment Day.

Organized by science teacher Annette Perkins, the event focused on how to show respect to the variety of cultures around the world. Students tasted food from various countries, learned how to make Origami cranes, learned flags from countries around the world, making a flag garland, and enjoyed a classmate's performance of Japanese music.

"Everyone had a good time with all the activities," Perkins said.

Teachers shared their experiences of visiting other countries, allowing students to ask questions about these experiences.

"I learned how to say kitty in French from Mrs. Coggins' story about a stray cat," Judah Joiner-Johnson said.
