Students were treated to a sweet treat and a hangout with Dr. McKinney on Thursday, Sept. 3.
"We are trying to do more things to engage our students with our school so they can take more ownership in their school," counselor Erin Coggins said. "With the heat, it was obvious that popsicles were the perfect treat."
McKinney read the book "My Yes Day" to students, and asked students to share what their perfect yes day would be. Students and parents were also given the opportunity to ask questions regarding coursework, extracurriculars, and getting to know McKinney questions.
"My perfect yes day would be a day without school work," fourth grader Frankie Runion said.
