Last Thursday, the Southeastern Raptor Center from Auburn University visited Blossomwood. They shared several raptors or birds with our students including: a screech owl, a barn owl (looks like the owl from "Harry Potter"), two falcons, a red-tail hawk, and a golden eagle. The golden eagle, named Aurea, which has flown at multiple Auburn football games! It has a6.5-foot wingspan and weighs 7.7 pounds! Thank you again to our wonderful PTA for bringing them to BES!
