Here's a look at what's happening in the Eagle's Nest this week:

Announcements
  • Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting- Monday

  • Mentoring Recruitment at Lunch (United Way)- Monday

  • We did have an error with Powerschool on last week, but we believe we have it resolved but please let us know if you notice any problems or issues.

  • Please make sure to monitor your scholars attendance and grades at least once a week.

  • All grades will have CERT testing this week.

  • Wear BLACK to BLACK OUT the Raiders- Friday

  • Pep Rally at 3:15PM- Friday

Academics
  • Dual Enrollment starts this week.

  • All grades will have CERT testing this week. This is an assessment tool we use to identify where our scholars are academically to help us prepare for the ACT test.

  • To monitor your scholar's grades and attendance, please visit the Powerschool Student/Parent Portal.

Attendance
  • Our goal for attendance is 95% attendance rate, we met our goal last year and plan to exceed it this year.

  • I want to notify all scholars and students of our new attendance requirements. If a scholars misses more than 15 days of school they will not be allowed to participate in sports or attend any school events, this includes in school and after school activities such as sporting events.

  • It is imperative that students attend school daily.

Attitude
  • We could have not asked for a better start of the school year. All grades have exemplified great character and we know this will continue.

  • We look forward to another great week in the Nest.

Athletics
  • We kick off our fall sports on this week.

  • Our volleyball team will travel to Westminster on Thursday with the games beginning at 4:30 PM.

  • Volleyball will also play in a tournament at New Hope on Saturday morning.

  • Our Football Team, Band, and Cheerleaders will be in action on Saturday night at Milton Frank Stadium. We need everyone to come out and help us write history together!!! Kickoff will be at 7:00 PM against Greensboro High School.

  • The football game is a blackout theme so we are asking everyone to wear all black for the game.

  • Tickets for admission will be $12 dollars and link for purchasing tickets will open on Thursday.

  • Students can purchase tickets on Thursday and Friday during lunch for $10. Students will receive a free blackout, protect the nest shirt to wear to the game.

  • All tickets sold on Saturday will be $12 and gates will open for admission at 4:30 PM.

  • Milton Frank seats 12,000 people and we anticipate this game will be sold out so get there early and be ready to help us, #protectthenest.
