This week's schedule is ABBAB.
It's HOMECOMING WEEK! We have a packed week ahead, culminating with our Homecoming Parade on Thursday and football game against the Albertville Aggies on Friday night. Our students are encouraged to show their spirit next week, and we'll have the following theme days for students to dress up:
Monday - John Deere Day (dress country)
Tuesday - Holiday Day (dress as your favorite holiday)
Wednesday - Generations Day (9th Grade as babies, 10th Grade as tweens, 11th Grade as millennials, and 12th Grade as senior citizens)
Thursday - Wacky Wonderland (rhyme without reason, twins, crazy outfits)
Friday - GHS Class Color Day (9th Grade in plaid, 10th Grade in brown, 11th Grade in white, and 12th Grade in orange)
Our Homecoming Dance will take place in the Grissom High School Gymnasium on Saturday night, 09/27, from 8-11 PM. Lead out is at 9:00 PM. Tickets will be sold in the Cafeteria during lunch or in Mr. Hurt's classroom during Advisory. $20 for singles/$30 for couples.
The Homecoming Parade will take place on Thursday starting at 5:00 PM. The route goes from Chaffee to Grissom, and we'll have food trucks, music, even a dunk tank in the GHS parking lot afterward!
Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence
We have assessors from Blue Ribbon Schools visiting Grissom on Thursday and Friday this week. Parents and Students, your feedback is important to this process. If you have time, please check your email inboxes for an email from me this past week with a link to complete a short survey about our school. Surveys will close on Wednesday night.
