GHS Community,
We had an amazing Homecoming week! Thank you to all of our students, families, community partners, and volunteers for your participation. From the pep rally, to the parade, to the game on Friday night, it was special to see our students and school community come out and showcase what makes South Huntsville truly special.
We’re down to our final week before Fall Break! The 1st 9-week grading period ends this Friday, October 2nd. Please encourage your Tigers to review their respective grades and touch base with their teachers if needed. Report cards will be distributed on October 16th.
Reminder, no school October 5-9.
Makeup Day for students still needing their picture for the yearbook will take place on October 13th. Seniors may sign up for tux/drape photos on the spoiled rotten photography website.
October 13th, the PSAT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will be administered to those who have signed up to take it. This is not a mandatory test.
October 15th, all 10th grade students will be taking the Pre-ACT. This is a state-required assessment, and provides our school with important data that we use to track student growth and plan instructional initiatives. Our goal is to have 100% of of 10th-Grade class tested!
