Parents, a Few Important Arrival & Dismissal Reminders. As we begin the school year, we want to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding our dismissal procedures. These procedures have been established to create order, ensure student safety, and keep traffic moving efficiently. Please help us by reviewing the following with your student:
Know how your student is getting home each day. Please communicate with your student before dismissal so they know whether they are a car rider, walker, bus rider, etc.
Students should leave when their specific mode of transportation is called. For example, car riders should not leave with walkers simply because they hear the walker dismissal called. Students should remain in the appropriate area until their designated mode of transportation is announced.
Parents should remain in their vehicles during car rider dismissal. Our staff will assist students as they enter vehicles. Please do not walk to the students to get your student. This presents a major security concern for us.
Please do not park in the back parking lot, the front parking lot, or at the doctors’ office. These areas are not part of our dismissal process and parking there creates additional safety and traffic concerns.
When picking up your student, please pull all the way forward in the car rider loop. This allows us to load more vehicles at once and keeps traffic moving.
We understand that dismissal can be busy, especially during the first few weeks of school. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work to establish routines and make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible. Our goal is simple: Get every student home safely, efficiently, and in an organized manner. Thank you for partnering with us to make that happen!
