This week, students across the district are celebrating National School Lunch Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the essential role Child Nutrition Program (CNP) staff play in supporting student success.
Nutritious meals are a key ingredient for a productive school day—helping students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. Our dedicated cafeteria staff work tirelessly each day to provide healthy, balanced meals to every student, ensuring no one starts the day hungry.
To show their appreciation, Teaching and Training students created a sign reading “We ❤️ CNP!” and invited all second block students to add their signatures and messages of thanks. The project served as a simple but meaningful way to express gratitude for the care and hard work that the CNP team pours into their daily service.
"We appreciate all that they do for us each day and we wanted to show how much they mean to us students," said Jade Rowe, Teaching and Training student and president of Huntsville City School's Future Teachers of Alabama chapter.
Thank you to our incredible CNP staff for everything you do to keep our students fueled for learning!
