The Huntsville Center for Technology was honored to welcome Alabama State Superintendent of Education Dr. Eric Mackey for a tour of our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. During his visit, Dr. Mackey had the opportunity to explore several Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Guided by Huntsville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Clarence Sutton and district career tech administrators, Dr. Mackey toured classrooms and labs where our students engage in hands on, industry aligned learning every day. From engineering design, industrial technology, cosmetology, building science, and more, each program highlights the district’s commitment to preparing students for high-demand careers and postsecondary success.

Following his visit, Dr. Mackey shared his impressions on social media, stating: “Appreciate @huntsvillecityschools Superintendent Dr Clarence Sutton and @huntsvillecityschools career tech administrators giving me a tour of the new state-of-the-art Center for Technology — our high school students are gaining real-world skills and hands-on experience that prepare them for success in college, their future careers, and life.
