Several James Dawson Elementary staff members were recently awarded STEM grants from Toyota, bringing exciting new learning opportunities to the school. Mrs. Forsythe received a grant to purchase escape room materials that will challenge students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ms. Hain’s award will fund math stackers for multiple grade levels, giving students hands-on ways to explore mathematical concepts. Ms. Thompson’s grant will support the development of the next courtyard area, creating a more engaging outdoor learning space. Thanks to Ms. Sewall, Dawson’s library will soon feature a flexible seating area designed to encourage collaboration and creativity. In addition, Mrs. Troupe received a large grant to develop a beautiful art feature wall that will celebrate student creativity and enhance the school environment. These grants reflect the dedication of Dawson’s educators and Toyota’s commitment to supporting innovative, student-centered learning experiences.
