James I Dawson Elementary School

Fourth graders took a field trip to Falls Mill, where they experienced what life was like long ago. Students visited a one-room schoolhouse and imagined what it would be like to learn there as children did in the past. They also toured an old grist mill. During their visit, students saw a historic printing press, spinning wheels, and other tools from pioneer days. The trip also included interactive stations where students acted as pioneers and even had the chance to mine for gems.
