Our 4th grade students are engaging in hands-on, problem-based learning through OSMO. This platform blends physical manipulatives with real-time digital feedback, allowing students to apply critical thinking and computational reasoning skills in an interactive environment. During OSMO sessions, students are applying logical reasoning and algorithmic thinking, sequencing and debugging code through structured challenges, strengthening problem-solving and strategic planning skills, demonstrating perseverance through productive struggle, and collaborating and explaining their thinking to peers. Students are not simply interacting with a screen — they are physically building solutions while receiving immediate feedback that reinforces independent learning and deeper understanding. These experiences support STEM development, computational thinking, and higher-order reasoning skills in a highly engaging format.
