The Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators (AAESA) proudly announced Mr. Clifford Porter, Principal of Monte Sano Elementary, as the District X nominee for the prestigious National Distinguished Principal (NDP) of the Year award. AAESA District X includes Huntsville City, Madison City, Madison County, Scottsboro City, & Jackson County.
Porter was officially honored at the CLAS/AAESA Fall Instructional Leadership Conference in Orange Beach, Alabama.
“Mr. Porter has demonstrated unwavering dedication, innovative leadership, and a commitment to academic excellence,” said Dr. Stewart Thorson, AAESA District X President and Chapman Elementary Principal. “This well-deserved recognition highlights his outstanding contributions to Monte Sano Elementary School and the broader educational community in Huntsville City Schools.”
He will have the opportunity to share insights and best practices with fellow educators and principals as he competes to be Alabama’s overall representative in the NDP program, which is sponsored by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).
