Huntsville City Schools is proud to announce that four of its schools—Huntsville Junior High, Chapman Middle, McNair Junior High, and Williams Elementary—have been selected to receive the FUSE STEAM Studio grant, generously provided by The Mazda Foundation.

In an exciting achievement, Huntsville City Schools secured all four of the grants awarded in North Alabama—underscoring the district’s commitment to innovation and excellence in education.

FUSE STEAM Studios transform traditional classrooms into dynamic learning environments where students engage in science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on experiences in areas such as robotics, coding, architecture, and music production.

The program is student-led and choice-based, allowing learners to select their own challenges, progress at their own pace, and build valuable skills using real-world technologies. As students collaborate and explore, they help foster a culture of learning rooted in curiosity, creativity, and mutual support.

Designed to engage all students—including those who may not yet be drawn to STEM—FUSE offers accessible and increasingly complex challenges that make STEAM learning exciting and inclusive.

Huntsville City Schools extends its sincere gratitude to FUSE STEAM Studio and The Mazda Foundation for their outstanding support. This investment in STEAM innovation and equity is helping to empower the next generation of thinkers, makers, and leaders.
