Summer Credit Enhancement (June 2-26)
Huntsville City Schools is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for students to earn credits during the month of June. Many times, students have a difficult time scheduling Driver's Ed and/or Health during the school year. While driver's ed is not required, health is a requirement for graduation. These courses will be available June 2 through June 26. Driver's Ed will be offered in two sessions (June 2-13 and June 16-27). Learn more on the 2025 Summer School page.
Summer Reading (Throughout)
Summer reading encourages students to practice reading skills and develop an enjoyment for reading. This year, our focus is student choice. Therefore, a list of suggested novels has been created for students in grades K-5. All students in grades 6-12 are required to complete a Book Talk assignment. Learn more on the 2025 Summer Reading page.
