A group of Huntsville City Schools educators are using their summer break to show what true dedication looks like.
This week, 34 elementary teachers from across six elementary schools chose to spend their summer days learning how to bring research-based computer science practices into their classrooms.
The professional development opportunity was provided as part of the A+ College Ready Program which seeks to open the door for middle and high school students in Alabama to reach their academic potential through access to Advanced Placement (AP) and other challenging coursework, which directly supports the HCS mission to empower every student through STEM learning activities.
The participating educators from Montview, Lakewood, Highlands, Rolling Hills, Martin Luther King, Jr., and James Dawson Elementary are all clearly committed to lifelong learning and doing whatever it takes to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
Please join us in applauding their passion, drive, and commitment to excellence in education!
