The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) announced Jasmine Green, Student Welfare and Social Services Coordinator for the Huntsville City Schools, will serve on the CLAS Board of Directors in a dual capacity as both President and Director for the Alabama Association for Prevention, Attendance and Support Services (AAPASS).
Green joins a distinguished group of educational leaders dedicated to advancing excellence in leadership and promoting positive change in Alabama’s schools. Through both positions on the CLAS Board, Green will help shape statewide efforts that support prevention, attendance, and student services.
“Jasmine Green brings both energy and experience to our board through her dual service as an affiliate president and director,” said Dr. Farrell Seymore, CLAS Executive Director . “Her insight will be incredibly valuable as we continue to support Alabama’s educational leaders and the students they serve.”
With over a decade of experience, Green has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to the well-being of students and their families. Her early work in the juvenile justice system provided her with unique insights into the issues faced by young individuals, insights she has seamlessly translated into her role within Huntsville City Schools.
In her position as Student Welfare and Social Services Coordinator, Green plays a pivotal role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to enhance student welfare, collaborating with community stakeholders, and fostering positive relationships with families.
