Elementary Teachers pose holding their completion certificates for robotics training

This week, our incredible elementary robotics sponsors from across Huntsville City Schools took part in an exciting FIRST Robotics training, and the energy was absolutely electric!

During the session, sponsors explored this year’s FIRST LEGO League Challenge—diving into the new mission, building and programming their Spike robots, and learning strategies to tackle challenges on the mission field. More importantly, they gained insights into how to guide their students in critical skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and real-world STEM applications that align with our science, math, and technology standards.

As a Cognia STEM Certified District, we’re proud to embed STEM into everything we do, and this training underscores that commitment. These dedicated educators are now ready and inspired to lead the next generation of innovators and engineers.

We can’t wait to see what our young robotics teams will accomplish this season. The future is being built right here in Huntsville, and it all starts in our classrooms.
